Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed to conduct door-to-door medical screening and test the samples of persons with suspected symptoms. Those found unwell should be sent to medical facility for treatment, he said.Presiding over a high-level unlock review meeting here at his official residence on Saturday, he reiterated that the prevention is the only treatment of Covid-19. The use of mask and maintaining social distancing is a must for this. He said the prevention protocol of Corona should be publicised well to create awareness among the people for which the print and electronic media, banners, posters and public address system should be used extensively. Laying further emphasis on more and more Covid testings, the CM said that 30,000 tests by RTPCR, 15000 to 20000 test by Rapid Antigen method and two thousand tests from TruNAT machines should be done every day. Asking to increase number of beds in the Covid hospitals, he said that the asymptomatic patients can be treated at level-1 Covid hospitals.

He stressed the need of exercising special caution in the districts Kanpur Nagar, Mathura and Jhansi. He directed that the Special Secretary rank nodal officer and senior officers of health and medical education departments should chalk out effective strategy to tackle Covid in Jhansi. He said that the proper screening should be ensured of the passengers coming by air or train. He also reminded to take all steps to protect Police and PAC personnel from Covid infection. Urging all to make cleanliness an integral part of daily life, the Chief Minister said that the hygiene and sanitation alone can save us from various diseases. Directing to undertake sanitation, fogging and cleanliness activities in rural and urban areas, he observed that the public participation has a big role to play in sanitation endeavours.

The Chief Minister said that ensure water logging is not taking place anywhere while the schemes of potable water through pipelines should be expedited. The chlorine tablets should be used in potable water while the construction work on community toilets in various Gram Panchayats should also be expedited. He said that the every Gram Panchayat should have fertilizer pit compulsorily for solid waste which will dual purpose of maintaining hygiene in the villages and producing organic fertilizer for the farmers. He said the plans should be afoot to protect crops from locusts attack.
