Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed to take all precautions to break the chain of Covid-19. Asking to further strengthen the process of surveillance, door-to-door survey and medical testings, he said augmenting these will ensure an early success in fight against Corona. Presiding over a high-level unlock review meeting at Lok Bhawan on Thursday, he reiterated his government’s resolve to provide quality healthcare to public. He said the government will spare no effort to keep its people safe from Covid-19. CM reminded the officials that the instructions given during Video Conferencing on Wednesday last about the Covid control measures and treatment in Lucknow and Kanpur Nagar should be implemented stringently. Those found lax in this will be held accountable. He said the Covid testings should be ramped up to save lives. He asked to increase testings in Kanpur Nagar and Gorakhpur.
Chief Minister sounded satisfied that the revenue collection in August, 2020 was Rs. 600 crore more than the same period in the corresponding year. He asked to conduct all industrial and commercial activities except those which are not permitted by the Centre in view of the Covid. Urging to improve work culture in all the departments, he said the government offices should be linked to E-office system in a time bound manner. He also asked to improve decision making processes in routine work and directed that the files should not be kept pending for more than seven days at departmental headquarters and subordinate offices. If the file is detained for more than three days at a table, the responsibility will be fixed. CM instructed to ensure attendance and punctuality in the government offices and said it should be monitored through surprise checking and effective supervision by seniors. He directed to streamline the recruitment and examination process in government departments and undertakings and asked to set up an agency to conduct all the recruitment exams like the Centre.
Laying stress on effective and efficient functioning of ‘Nivesh Mitra’ portal, he said that deployment of experts should be considered for this. He also announced to set up Invest UP organisation upgrading Udyog Bandhu. He further directed to make an action plan to attract 1.50 lakh crore of investment in next 12- 15 months. CM was particularly happy over functioning of 98.5 per cent industrial/commercial units at their full capacity. He asked to do the same for remaining units. CM also asked to make some effective plans to create more employment. He also asked to make efforts for time-bound disposal of weavers problems. He directed to take appropriate action for smooth inter-state movement of buses. He said the buses should be plied on all earmarked routes.
