Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has reiterated his government’s commitment to provide best possible Covid treatment to the common man. The government is taking all measures for the protection and treatment of Covid but the caution has to be maintained for protection, he said while underlining the need of mass awareness in this regard.
Presiding over a high-level unlock review meeting at Lok Bhawan on Sunday, he said that the administration should undertake mass awareness campaign through public address system. The enforcement activities against those should be launched who do not wear masks. It should be done with politeness as the idea is to sensitise the masses about importance of wearing masks.
CM sounded happy that more than 75 lakh Covid tests have so far been done in the state. He asked to ramp it further as more tests will mean more control over the spread. He said that the Covid control activities require trained and skilled manpower. In view of this, more and more doctors, paramedics and health staff should be trained. He asked to ensure availability of all the medicines including High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) in the Covid hospitals. Chief Minister said that the extra care is needed in view of the Corona spread in Lucknow, Kanpur Nagar, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur and Meerut. He said the State Government should ensure quality facilities in the private Covid hospitals with every health protocol in place. Also make sure that the private hospitals charge from the patients as per the fixed treatment package.
CM also asked to maintain the availability of PPE kits, gloves, masks and sanitiser in the hospitals. The hospitals should have sufficient supply of oxygen to maintain 48-hour back up. He said that the black marketing of oxygen should be checked and the guilty to be taken to the task.
