Target high risk groups and put them to tests

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked to start proceedings to link Medical Institutes with the virtual ICUs. By using the technology in such a way, the serious patients may get treatment by able and experienced doctors. He also asked to keep ventilators/High Flow Nasal Canula (HFN C) functional in all the districts. Presiding over a high-level unlock review meeting here in Lok Bhawan on Thursday, he also directed to adopt effective strategy to control Corona spread in the districts where 100 or more cases are found in the last one week.

Chief Minister directed the Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretaries of Home, Health and Medical Education along with medical experts to have a detailed discussion to finalise the action plan in this regard. He reiterated to nominate nodal officers in these districts with deployment of Special Secretary rank officers with each of the nodal officer. Chief Minister asked to maximize the contact tracing for effective control on Covid infection. He also asked to target high risk groups and put them to tests. He said one third of the total Covid tests per day should be conducted through RTPCR and the rest by Rapid Antigen method. He further directed to augment number of beds in Covid L-2 and L-3 hospitals.

Chief Minister said to take up enforcement exercise to check observance of social distancing and use of masks norms actively. Create micro-containment zones as and where required. He asked to ensure that the public address systems should be functional all the time to spread awareness about Corona protection and the prevailing traffic rules. Chief Minister directed to maintaining the availability of all the protective gears including masks, PPE kits and sanitizer and the medicines, testing kits used in the treatment. He said the Health department should also review these requirements from time to time. He also laid stress on sanitization and cleanliness.

Chief Minister said that the people should be sensitized about the protection from Covid-19 in view of coming festivals. The festivals have to be celebrated at home and no public functions will be organized while all the norms of social distancing and use of masks will be followed strictly. Chief Minister directed to review progress of Smart City projects and AMRUT Yojana on a regular basis. He further asked to proceed in an organized manner to get maximum benefits of the Special Economic Package announced by the Prime Minister. He said that more and more labourers and street vendors should be facilitated to get loans. Also, the loaning for MSME units through packages should be facilitated accordingly. He asked to keep Cow Shelters in Bundelkhand region properly functional.
