BJP rebuts charges about land allotment for party office with facts

New Delhi

State Bharatiya Janata Party has asserted with documents that it was allotted 809 square meter of land at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg for its office. The assertion came in the face of false propaganda by the Aam Admi Party that BJP was allotted 10,000 square yard of land. The state General Secretary Kuljeet Singh Chahal, talking to newspersons here on Thursday, exposed the AAP’s falsehood on this.

Kuljeet Singh Chahal said that the government policy that all political parties should be allotted land in Delhi and accordingly, state BJP had applied for land for its office in 2001.  The party then moved the Delhi High Court for getting this piece of land and the petition number for the same is 2174/2008, he disclosed. Thereafter, it was on May 12, 2010 that land was allotted to us, he said adding the party really had to work very hard for this.

Kuljeet Singh Chahal said the AAP was describing it as 10,000 square Yard though it is only 809 square meter and that the amount deposited in 2001 for the same at the prevailing rates is being shown in today’s time which is a total lie. On the contrary, it is the AAP which has constructed its office on government land, he charged adding neither the AAP has the land allotted for this nor deposited any amount in this regard. It is like saying a party of thieves think likewise for others, he further charged and added the Kejriwal is running the government like land grabbers and cares neither for the constitution nor courts. In order to do his own politics, Kejriwal does not even have respect for the national flag, he charged.
